Once upon a time, I bought some highly variegated yarn.

Then, the awesome Amy (Duncks, as we know her on Ravelry) released this hat pattern.
Meet my new favorite hat:

I did a virtual knit group video chat with some of my mal pals today. It was lots of fun, and I discovered (thanks to rchrispy) a wonderful service that allows groups to video chat (unlike skype, which is just one to one). You can even send video messages to people. It’s awesome, an you don’t even have to have an account to recieve a message. Signing up was really simple, too. It’s TokBox. If you want to send me a message (which I would really love, it’s very fun) my profile (and username) is here.
Or just use this nifty little widget to send me a message:

In non yarny news, my first article goes up on HMN on Tuesday. I can already tell you, it’s a fun article, so I hope you check back here for a link on Tuesday and read it. Also, I’ve started a cool photo project with a friend, but I’ll save that for another post, as I’m a bit tired and want to do it justice.
More later, friends. I just wanted to share the hat awesomeness with you.

That is one fantastic hat! I’ll have to check out TokBox — I haven’t heard of that one before.
